My name is Evy Rich and I am a Certified Birth Doula. The following information might be of interest to you.

  • I also have four grown children, twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
  • I am a warm, loving, enthusiastic, compassionate and caring person. I have experienced medicated and natural childbirth personally.
  • I took my training with Working Woman taught by Felicia Roche at BirthWays in California in June 2003.
  • The next year I became certified through DONA Doulas of North America, now Dona International.
  • I am currently employed by Growing Family Midwifery as Birth and Post Partum Doula and starting midwifery training.
  • I have volunteered my services at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, California, working with parents of diverse backgrounds, many talented and kind midwives, and caring doctors.
  • I have attended natural births, medicated births, cesarean births, and VBAC births (vaginal birth after cesarean).
  • I am a member of the Corvallis Doula Network, the Lane County Birth Network, BirthCompanion.org, and Doulas Supporting Teens.
  • I have led Doula Information sessions and participated at Doula Info Nights for new parents-to-be in the San Francisco Bay area. I am currently working to organize these types of resources with the Corvallis Doula Network.
  • I attend births in Corvallis, Albany, and Eugene, and home and birthing centers.
  • I have attended classes for one year at The Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, California.
  • I offer Jin Shin Acupressure Massage for mothers-to-be, and fathers/partners, too! It releases tension and balances the flows and functions of the body, along with hand and foot massage, and neck release. It is included free to my doula clients, and I am available for private appointments at $50 a session.
